Child or Adolescent: Bleeding After Baby Tooth Falls Out

• Place clean piece of gauze or a clean cloth over the bleeding area.
• Have the child bite on the gauze or cloth for 15 minutes. If the child cannot bite on his/her own, hold the gauze or cloth in place with firm pressure for 15 minutes.
  • If bleeding does not stop after 15 minutes, take the child to the Children's Hospital emergency room immediately.
