Division Head:Richard Kraut, D.D.S.

The Dental Implant Center is part of the Department of Dentistry at Montefiore Medical Center. With the College of Medicine, Montefiore operates one of the largest and strongest programs of graduate dental education in the country and is a major center for research. Because the Dental Implant Center is a teaching facility, Dr. Kraut and the faculty of the center are often called upon to handle difficult or unusual cases. Patients treated at the Montefiore Dental Implant Center have access to the latest research, the most up-to-date techniques and

state-of-the art equipment. That makes it an ideal choice for implant patients with special medical or dental needs. Dr. Kraut and his staff always use hospital standards for sterility, administration of anesthesia and monitoring of vital signs during procedures. A registered nurse assists Dr. Kraut with surgical procedures. Consultations with other medical or dental staff experts are readily available should the need arise. Patients may have opportunities to receive treatment at reduced fees in exchange for participation in research or training programs.
