Child or Adolescent Bleeding After Baby Tooth Falls Out

Place clean piece of gauze or a clean cloth over the bleeding area.

Have the child bite on the gauze or cloth for 15 minutes. If the child cannot bite on his/her own, hold the gauze or cloth in place with firm pressure for 15 minutes.

If bleeding does not stop after 15 minutes, take the child to the Children's Hospital emergency room immediately.
