- Some swelling after surgery is normal. The worst swelling is usually 48 hours after surgery. However, if you have swelling that interferes with breathing, you have a fever, and/or you have a bad taste in your mouth, call the front desk at Centennial Clinic Monday through Friday. - Evenings and weekends, call the hospital operator and ask to speak with your implant surgeon. The operator will have your surgeon call you.

- If you have bleeding after implant surgery, apply pressure with a clean cloth or a piece of gauze.
- Alternately, remove the staple from a tea bag, moisten the bag and bite down on it for 15 minutes.
- If bleeding does not stop after 15 minutes, call the Centennial front desk Monday through Friday. Hours and Locations
- Evenings and weekends, call the hospital operator and ask to speak with your implant surgeon. If the surgeon can't be reached, go to the hospital emergency room immediately and ask for the Oral Surgeon on call when you arrive.
- Evenings and weekends go to the hospital emergency room immediately.

- Lost implants that do not bother you do not require emergency attention. Call the front desk at Centennial Clinic the next morning. Hours and Locations
- Loose or broken bridges usually do not require emergency attention. Call the Centennial front desk as soon as possible. Hours and Locations
- If a broken bridge can be removed easily, take it out.
- If it cannot be removed easily, cover any sharp or protruding portions with cotton balls, gauze or chewing gum.
- Monday through Friday, call the Centennial front desk. Hours and Locations
- Evenings and weekends call the hospital operator to speak with the dentist on call.
- Evenings and weekends go to the hospital emergency room immediately.
